ADT Security System Is A Trusted Name

Published by Author at 2:15 pm under Security Systems

A lot of companies try to establish a reputation by simply investing in brand name recognition.  A few television commercials, some big magazine ads, and they think they can corner the market.  But brand name recognition only comes when you team up the commercials with a quality product.

Too many companies have failed at their attempt to create a stronghold in a market because they spent all their money on commercials and nothing on developing their product.  In the home security business a good reputation is worth almost as much, if not more, than all the television commercials in the world.

Security companies come and go because they plaster their name all over the television and then hire substandard employees or install terrible products.  In the high intensity, and extremely important, world of home security few companies live up to their hype.  ADT Security System is one of those companies that lives up to its hype and has established itself on a very well deserved reputation.

Based on years of experience, people trust that when they install an ADT Security System they are not only getting a company with some of the most extensive experience in the home security business but also a company that has a legion of satisfied customers as well.

ADT Security System started in 1874 as the American District Telegraph company that specialized in communications especially through, you guessed it, the telegraph!  ADT Security System established a trusted messenger service that becomes one of the default choices for trusted long distance communication in the United States.  Soon Western Union took note of ADT Security System and acquired them.

Then AT&T acquired the merged companies and soon ADT Security System was on an international platform with the latest technology at their fingertips.  In 1910 ADT Security System started focusing on security systems and since then ADT Security System has made more advancements in the area of home and commercial security than any other company in the industry.

Over 90 Years Spent Building A Reputation

Quality has been a concern within the security industry from their very beginnings and the advances made in home and commercial security over the years have been spearheaded by only a few pioneering companies.  Few companies have such a spotless reputation as ADT Security System and few companies have earned the right to offer their products openly and boldly as ADT Security System.

When you are looking for a security company with decades of experience behind them and the advantage of technology advancement in their corner consider an ADT Security System solution.

Thanks for the post. As you point out, there are many irresponsible organizations offering security systems to homeowners. In addition to choosing a company with a proven track record from years in business, I recommend people check on a few other aspects of security companies.
    1. Ask local police who they recommend and whose alarms they trust.
    2. Ask the security company what their valid dispatch rate is.
    3. Ask the security company how they verify alarms. If all they do is call you and ask you what you want them to do, why do you need them?
    4. Ask them what the operator to account ratio is. Some companies have one person “watching” 10,000 accounts or more. This makes it simply impossible to give the time and attention needed to each account.
    5. Never sign with a company that doesn’t offer a full guarantee, including performance warranty, equipment and labor warranty, emergency service guarantee, false alarm fine guarantee and satisfaction guarantee.

Interesting post …however I have to share a concern …I recently contacted ADT for a certificate of service that I need to give to my insurance company in order to obtain a discount. They told me they would fax it … (okay …in today’s world we could have sent it as an email attachment but …okay) after waiting five day and not receiving anything I called back to find out that it takes 5 – 8 business days for them to send a fax……CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? A company in the technology business (Which I believe they are) doesn’t have the technology to send such information in a time expedient manner. I am afraid that their supposed spotless image has more than a few spots on it. When I asked to speak to someone about it they had me hold for almost 5 minutes before a “Manager” told me to write a letter of complaint and mail it to a Jacksonville post office box? I suspect their internal process may be as dated as their purported proven track record. They need to get into the current century in all aspects if the want to be a leader and their use of technology needs to be the basis for it. Bud
