In this article I will give you information on the Stun Master Telescopic Stun Baton so you can make an informed decision before making a purchase. I will lay out the features, operations, and test results.

Description:
· The Stun Master Stun Baton starts out 13″ long and expands to 21″. It is black in color, comes with a finger grip handle, holster, alarm and flashlight.

Features:
· 800,000 volts, makes it one of the most powerful stun batons on the market today.
· Holster with Velcro closer. Fits on any belt.
· No batteries required. It comes with its own charger. When you purchase this unit it comes with a 30% charge and is ready to use out of the box. Plug it in for 10 hours and it is fully charged ready for action.
· Flash light
· 120 Decibel alarm is equivalent to a jet engine.
· Lifetime Warranty

Operation:
· The Stun Master Telescopic Stun Baton must be removed from its case to operate.
· Once un-holstered one finger is all it takes to pull the switch and watch it expand from 13″ to 21″ of shocking power.
· You won’t have to worry about someone taking it from you; when it is expanded no matter where they grab along the shaft it will light them up with 800,000 volts. If the attacker grabs you the shock doesn’t transfer. This unit will shock through ½” of cloths.
· After you are finished with the unit, lightly tap the end on the ground to retract it.

Test Results:

· Battery test: I laid the stun device on a shelf in the office and asked everyone (10 people) to pull the trigger once a day; after 2 months, it still had plenty of power. We didn’t use the flash light or alarm during the testing, use of those will deplete the battery faster depending on use. Keep in mind when testing your stun device you are dry firing it and you should only use 1 second bursts not to damage the unit. When pushed against an assailant’s body pull the trigger as needed.

· Shock test: It is always a task trying to get Volunteers for these tests. Luckily we just hired a new guy that thought he was 10 feet tall and bullet proof. He soon found out he wasn’t all that tough against the Stun Baton. I expanded the unit out and he tried to grab it away from me. Let’s just say he was on the ground in about 2 seconds screaming like a baby. I think it is safe to say that it gave him the shock of a lifetime. I’m not sure if he will volunteer next time.

Conclusion:
This unit is perfect for strolls in the park, walks around the neighborhood, night watchman, security guards, and doorman to name a few. I would recommend this unit as personal security device. Remember the best time to learn your lesson about personal security and self defense is before something happens.

According to FBI statistics, there’s a violent crime every 18 seconds, on average. Every 29 seconds a violent assault occurs, a forcible rape every five minutes and a murder every 24 minutes. Numbers like those are enough to make a person paranoid.

It’s reasonable to take proper precautions, at home and around town or abroad, even if you’ve never experienced a crime. It isn’t healthy or necessary, however, to live in perpetual fear. After all, those statistics are the result of millions living in close proximity and there’s no breakdown according to location.

But there is a genuine need for personal security. In order to feel and actually be safer, the first thing to consider is location. Stay away from high crime areas whenever possible. When you’re on the street, don’t project an attitude of vulnerability. Studies show that criminals choose their victims by subtle clues based on body language. Project an air that you are not to be messed with.

Be prepared. Carrying a concealed firearm is inappropriate for most people. They don’t have the training and they would hesitate to use it anyway, exposing themselves to increased risk of attack. But pepper spray, loud whistles and other personal protection devices are a low risk, yet highly effective option.

Ensure that your cell phone is charged at all times. One of the most frequent reasons people cite for having one, even when not required for business, is use in an emergency. But that value is lost if you neglect to keep the batteries up.

Vary your routine. Don’t leave or arrive home at the exact same time every day. Don’t take the same route to work, to shop or other activities. Very few people are followed at any time in life. Most lead lives that are much more anonymous. But during divorce proceedings, romantic breakups, conflicts at work and other common human experiences the motivation for stalking is higher.

Don’t travel alone, especially to strange areas, if you can avoid it. There’s safety in numbers, even if the two or more persons in the group are not physically imposing. It’s much more difficult for attackers, whether they be single muggers or a small gang, to subdue multiple people. One can usually delay the crime while the other phones the police. That will often lead to the criminals just leaving to seek easier victims.

When you’re at home, even if you live in a very safe neighborhood where you know all your neighbors, keep your doors and windows locked. Again, paranoia is unwarranted. But a little caution never hurts. Rapes, burglaries and other crimes do occur during the day and at night when people are home. It’s less common, but far from unknown.

Be aware of your surroundings at home and on the road. Don’t leave your belongings far from you and don’t let children wander off. Taking a few simple precautions can leave you in a position to relax and enjoy your life. Then you don’t have to worry as much about those horrifying statistics, since your risk of being among them is much lower.

We all know the importance of home security. There are many preventive measures that can be taken to protect your home from intruders. The list of home security equipment includes but is not limited to alarms, monitoring services, video surveillance cameras, motion detectors and many other different security systems. But there is another area very closely related to home security. This area is called the protection of your personal privacy at home. Everybody wants their private life to remain private and there are many steps to make sure you can achieve this. Not only you will protect your privacy but also you will prevent possible break in attempts by protecting information about your house, your valuables and your personal belongings. Protecting your privacy will help with your home security efforts.

There several steps that you will need to follow to insure that you have a total privacy at home. First of all, you should try to keep all of your most valued and expensive items in a safe and hidden place. If someone will see that you have something very expensive at home, they may share this information with others and may trigger a house burglary attempt. At least try to keep your valuables far away from the doors and windows. You might not be afraid of your visitors, friends or neighbors but you should be aware that strangers may also be able to see that you have expensive items at home. Imagine a case when a repairman walks into your house to fix something and sees all of your valuables. This is a situation you should try to prevent.

The next step is to make sure that the inside of your house cannot be viewed from your windows. This specifically applied to houses with large windows. People can see what you have in your house by simply glancing through the window. Imaging what would happen in a situation when a burglar walks by your house and notices something expensive inside. The best thing to do is to cover all of your windows with curtains. The first floor windows should be covered first as they present the most danger. If you have a glass door, it should also be covered with shades or curtains.

It is also important to talk about your car. Many people have a habit of leaving important items or information inside their cars. It does not matter whether you are leaving a car for just a few minutes or for a long time. In any case you need to make sure to take all the important items with you. The first reason is the fact that these items can be stolen. The second reason is the fact that even is a thief does not steal the forgotten items, he or she can decide to try to break into your house because of the possibility to steal even more valuables. You should also never leave any type of paperwork with your personal and financial information. For example, your credit card statement can give a possible thief enough information to judge what king of valuables you have inside of your house. Any information can be used against you and it is a good advice to make sure this information does not end up in the hands of a wrong person.

If a burglar decided to break into your house, he or she will try to gain access to your personal information first. This may even include such things as going through the paperwork that you throw away. Your banking and credit card statements can provide information about your finances. Your schedule can provide information about the hours when you are not at home. The print out of your itinerary will show when you are leaving for a vacation or work trip. A manual from an installed safe or alarm system will provide details about the installed security equipment and systems. There are many other examples that we can provide. The best advice here is to destroy the paperwork that has any of your personal or financial information printed on it. A simple low cost paper shredder can increase the level of your privacy and personal security.

Access to information is very important nowadays. Sometime information can be your most valuable asset that you would want to keep secure, whether you are at home or at work. If you are at work, it is most likely that there is already an advanced security system implemented for the purpose of information protection. However, when you are at home, you must make sure yourself that your personal and financial information is safe and secure. This article will list 10 important steps that you need to take to make sure that you protect your personal and financial information at all times.

The step number 1 is to make sure that if you store valuable information on your computer, it has proper security software installed that eliminated the possibility of an unauthorized access. There are many different software packages that will help you to achieve this goal, both for your personal computer and for your home computer network. The step number 2 is to protect your personal information that you have in a printed form. For example, imagine if you have a valuable report that describes research and development results from one of your company’s projects. If you want to be certain that this information is protected, you should keep this information is a secure hidden location. The best advice for the type of location that you need to select would be to use your home safe or something similar in nature.

The step number 3 is to make sure that you never leave your portable computer of printouts of valuable information in your car. If it gets stolen, even the best security system can eventually be broken, in which case the protected information will be accessed. Even it the security system is never broken, you can simply lose all the information. The step number 4 is related to the previous step and specifies that you need to create a back up of your information so in the case the information is stolen or lost, it is not lost completely. If you do have a backup data source, you can restore most of the lost information. The step number 5 is to make sure that if you have a wireless network inside your house, this network in encrypted and does not allow unauthorized access. This will protect you from the possibility that someone is trying to steal your information by accessing your wireless network without authorization.

The step number 6 is to make sure that you keep your login and other access codes secure. Never write them down anywhere. Also never tell them to other people. If someone finds out your login information, they may be able to use it to their advantage. For example, you can understand the possible dangers when someone is able to login into your bank account without your knowledge. The step number 7 is to make sure that you change your access codes often. If someone does find about your access code, you should change it immediately to protect yourself from the possibility of someone accessing your accounts or other secure locations. The step number 8 is related to the previous step and states that you need to be certain that you log off your computer and all secure locations before you leave the computer room. This will also prevent the possibility of unauthorized access.

The step number 9 is to ensure that you destroy the printouts with you financial and personal information if you need to throw them away. You should use a paper shredder first, before you throw these documents in the trash. If someone will get access to the documents that you didn’t destroy, they can use the information on these documents to their advantage. For example, if a burglar sees your bank statement what shows several large purchases, he or she can assume that it will be beneficial to break into your house. The step number 10 is to make sure that you don’t leave your personal and financial paperwork in the plain view: on you car seat, near your first floor window, etc. If you do, someone may see that and will be able to read this information and use it for his or her own benefit.
