When checking out security systems and their call center make sure the there are guarantees in place such as: Six month money back guaratee if you are not happy with the systrem for any reason, intrusion detection guarantee; if there is a forceable intrusion and the company fails to detect they will share in your loss and be sure to check on their false alarm guarantee. Will the alarm company go to bat for you with the fining agency and pay the fine if they are at fault.

Ask about their valid dispatch rate (many have false alarm rates in the 94-98% range, totally unacceptable), ask for a false alarm fine guarantee, and ask about their operator to account ratio (many have a 1:10,000 ratio, you want something more like 1:2,000).
