Using A Personal Alarm System

Published by Author at 6:50 am under Alarm Systems

In tough economic times like these, some people are so desperate for money that they will rob a stranger in broad daylight. Burglars are becoming more and more daring when they break into homes, and it’s not just the rich who are getting burglarized these days. With scrap metal prices so high, thieves will break into a home just to steal the refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer and sell them for scrap!

That’s the bad news. The goods news is that a personal alarm system can be your best friend if you are the victim of an assault or home break-in.

Personal Alarms

Personal protection alarm systems are small enough to fit right on your keychain. They are portable, so you can take them with you everywhere you go – even from room to room in your own house. If you can press a large round button, you are protected by your personal alarm system.

Up To 120 Decibels Of Protection

Most personal alarm systems will emit an ear-piercing, high-pitched, 120-decibel monster of a call for help. They are your first defense against any dangerous situation, and can even be used to drive away dangerous animals, whether on the campground or walking down the street. Of course, your own ears will feel the same pain from the alarm as your attacker’s, but the ringing in your ears will subside and you will still be alive and well.

The Safest Protective Device

If you are uncomfortable carrying a gun or knife for protection (and who isn’t?), then a personal alarm is for you. Many women and seniors hesitate to carry a stun gun or pepper spray for fear that an assailant may wrest the weapon away from them and turn around and use their very own weapon on them. There’s no such fear with a personal alarm system. Unless your assailant is completely deaf, his body will reflexively flee when your alarm hits his ears at the speed of sound.

Everyone Can Use It

Children, seniors, folks with physical vulnerabilities, and healthy adults can all use a personal alarm system. Use it in your house when you need medical help, and your neighbors will soon come check to see what’s the matter with you. And that’s the good news. Even with all the bad people out there, there are still plenty of individuals who will rush to the aid of someone who is using their personal alarm system to signal for help.
