Great information. People do need to understand their system and only work with home security companies that offer training and support as often as a family needs at no cost. This should be included in the company's commitment to service. As you point out, false alarms are a huge problem in the burglar alarm industry. Never contract with a security company that doesn't offer a false alarm fine guarantee and only use a monitoring center that verifies alarms with either audio or video technology. Without this, you just aren't protected and are getting a poor return on your investment in sescurity.
