But also expect to feel a lot more secure and self-empowered researching and investing in a home alarm system like an Ademco alarm system.

An Ademco alarm system is made by Honeywell Security, which is a trusted name in home and business security worldwide. One of the reasons Honeywell gets respect is that they are often quick to take advantage of changes in technology and they way criminals do their business.

One of the advantages of an Ademco alarm system is that it’s a “do it yourself” security system. It comes with a lot of easy to understand instructions, but naturally you will still have questions. Many online shops selling alarm systems will also have a forum where you can ask questions.
Honeywell also has many customer service employees to pester, should you choose to go directly to them. Most of their phone numbers for tech support of for customer service are toll free numbers. Just to be sure there hasn’t been any changes in these phone numbers, you are best calling the numbers provided with your alarm kit or by checking on Honeywell’s website.
After you get it installed and start playing around with it to learn it, you can then show off your Ademco alarm system to your most trusted friends and family members. You will probably find that they are no longer teasing you, but are glad you got to test drive an alarm system for them.

I hope you can help me or direct me. I live in Phoenix AZ and have a home with an ADEMCO alarm system (VISTA-10SE), that came with the house. I have never activated the alarm. It has a “chime” that goes off whenver a window or door is opened. I need to shut off the chime, which according to the manual is simple, but I need a code to enter. I am the original owner of this house, I cannot find a code written in the users manual or programming guide put in by the installer. Is there a facorty installed default code, or a way for me to turn off the entire alarm system, or anything I can do to turn off the chimes for now?
